A Place for Everything

"If a home doesn't make sense, nothing does."-Henrietta Riperger

It's spring, which means it's spring cleaning time!  Time to air out the house and get rid of anything that isn't useful.  Once you get rid of things that aren't useful, you make room for beautiful and useful things that you really want.  A good rule of thumb is, if you haven't seen it in over a year, get rid of it.    For the things that are still in good shape, put them in bags to bring to Goodwill.  For the ugly broken items, don't burden anyone else with it, just throw it out.

"Getting our houses in order and endowing our children with a respect for, and appreciation of order, is one of the most precious gifts we can give ourselves" -Sarah Ban Breathnach.

Write these four rules down and hang them up around your house.  Teach them to your family by repeating them often!

1. If you take it out, put it back
2. If you open it, close it.
3. If you throw it down, pick it up
4. If you take it off, hang it up.
